This 2004 vintage was co-fermented with 5% estate Viognier and pours a purple-red in the glass. The nose brings forth blackberries, plums, some eycalyptus and cozy campfires. On the palate, one senses blueberries, blackberries, figs, and smoked meats with thyme. The finish lingers easy and pleasant.

The 2007 Frenchies Ranch Syrah is the inaugural vintage of our Estate reserve wine named for the Frenchman who last tended vines on this land from the mid-thirties through the mid-sixties. If it weren’t for Justin Lacau and those who preceded him, we would not be farming this exceptional hillside vineyard surrounded by 10,000s of acres of redwood and hardwood forests. We aged this wine a full 30 months in three new French oak barrels and then bottled it un-fined and unfiltered in May 2010.
